Change Oil and Oil Filter

Oil lubricates the engine’s moving parts and helps keep it cool, but over time it can get dirty and dirty, reducing its efficiency. The oil filter, in turn, removes these impurities from the oil and prevents them from circulating through the engine. To change the oil and oil filter, you must first place the drain plug under the car’s engine and under it a container to collect the old oil. Then unscrew the drain plug and let the old oil drain completely. Next, remove the old oil filter by turning it counter clockwise with an oil filter when replacing replace it with a new one. Be sure to lubricate the new oil filter with a small amount of oil before installation. After changing the oil filter, reassemble the drain plug and fill the engine with new oil. Be sure to use the oil recommended in your car’s owner’s manual and check the oil level with a dipstick to make sure it’s at the correct level. Finally, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes before checking for leaks and properly disposing of the old oil. Changing your car’s oil and oil filter regularly can extend its life and improve its performance. Oil and filter changes are generally recommended every 5,000 to 7,500 miles or every six months, whichever comes first.
